In the Desert....

After the Tinternet being given back...here i am! And I'm officially obsessed with the colour CAMEL! It all started with Chloe's Autumn/Winter show with models covered head to toe in beautiful camel silk blouses and lovaly camel wool trousers. All are campaigned by Raquel Zimmermann on catwalks as well as adverts, the photos are shot in romantic looking places - France, and the stone building backdrops blend in amazingly with the clothes.

As usual, here are some of my favourite finds from the highstreet - resembling the catwalk!

1. Ultimate Military Cape - Topshop, £95.00
2. Waffle Over The Knee Socks - Topshop, £8.00
3. Dress - H&M, £29.99
4. Chiffon Shirt - Topshop, £35.00

The Dog Days are Overr.

Since i started back at school on moday (Year 11!) i've been completly bored with the uniform, black trousers, black pumps, blue polo excetara excetara..so after watching St. Trinians for the hundreth time i've decided i want an update! Of course my school would have just got new rules in about uniform but for all those people with less strict headteachers, hope you get inspired by this...

These are some of the main inspirations for my idea, like the origional and modern St. Trinians and Taylor Momsen in Gossip Girl - but i've toned it down to 'school suitable'!

1. High Waisted Skirt - Topshop, £35.00
2. Black Flat Lace Up Brogue Shoes - River Island, £26.99
3. Exposed Seam Trench Coat - Topshop, £80.00
4. Yellow School Bag Look Satchel - River Island, £24.99

The brogues are deffo on my wishlist, and as for the mustard satchel...cutee!

Marc Jacobs - Autumn 2010 Collection♥

Adding a bit more to the earlier post Marc Jacobs' catwalk show from February this year showed the major trends which have inspired highstreet collections.

This is the opening where the lights brightened to show the models wearing tailored suits, fur coats and cable knit jumpers in  khaki's, creams and browns! Click the link underneath the picca for the full video of his amazing runway show!

Welcome! Autumn '10

So i'm excited this is my first post, and as the weathers getting colder (N) i'm going to start BIG with the new seasons colour pallete! The top shades this autumn are camel, khaki, bronze, gold and this seasons new black; brown! Last week i bought a trench coat in camel from H&M...and i am in love! As my blog is dedicated to highstreet brands, i've chosen some of my favourite peices of clothing (and shoes) from shops you can find pretty much anywhere, so enjoy!

1. Pleat Long Sleeve Shift Dress - Topshop, £45.00
2. Camel Pleat Long Line Shorts - Topshop, £32.00
3. Tall Militry Shirt - Topshop, £28.00
4. Cardigan - H&M, £24.99
5. V-Neck Dress - Zara, £19.99
6. Tall Tapered Chino Trousers - Topshop, £35.00
7. Wedge Ankle Boots with Laces - Zara, £59.99
8. Bronze Oversize Venus Mac with Draw Cords - River Island, £59.99

I love these colours because you can so easily mix and match them! I think i'll be saving up for the chino trousers (they also come in a regular size rather than tall), they are laavly! The Zara wedges are a chaeaper example of the ones seen on catwalks, they are slightly more expensive than the other items but for a must-have i think they're worth it!
